Terms and Conditions

– All wheels requiring any form of structural repair are deemed to have no inherent value, APC will be adding value with the repair and refurbishment processes.
– APC endeavours to repair/refurbish all wheels to the best of our ability; we cannot be responsible for unforeseen problems such as poor casting and hidden problems in general. These problems may only become evident when the existing wheel finish is stripped back to the base metal. If we believe that the wheel cannot achieve a finish as expected, then we will contact the customer, discuss the options and possibly other work we may have to undertake to remedy the problem.
– An APC “standard” finish is based on viewing the completed wheel with the naked eye whilst standing upright from a distance of no less than 4 feet away from the wheel, as viewed normally on a car.
– Should the customer require a finish “as new” or a show finish, then this must be accounted for based on a time charge within the pricing structure as (COR) cost of repair, declared at quotation time.
– When APC repairs structurally damaged wheels, we may leave the odd machine mark which will be visible on close inspection; this is usually on the inner rear part of the wheel and will not affect the front face. Standard finish applies.
– When APC repairs structurally damaged wheels on the inner rim only, we apply a black sealer to the inner rear area in order to protect the bare metal after we have machined the wheel. If the customer does not want this, then we must refinish the wheel, thus an additional cost is added to the repair.
– APC reserves the right to refuse to complete any refurbishment work if any of the wheels received require structural repair work before refurbishment. We will never refurbish a wheel that requires any form of structural repair work, i.e. bent, buckled or twisted, the repair work must be carried out first.
– Customers should be aware that certain high gloss finishes show blemishes more readily, such as black, chrome or bright silver; we cannot guarantee to make your wheels perfect but we will ensure that there is a significant improvement. Should a customer request an as new finish or show wheels, then an additional charge will apply, this will be calculated on an hourly basis plus any materials required.
– Here at APC, we will do our best to meet the time-scales as given when the wheels were booked in; however, target time-scales are just that – ‘target’. APC takes no responsibility for unforeseen delays that affect the process of the wheel repairs and refurbishment. Some wheels require processes that take longer to achieve than a standard process does.
– APC recommends that new valves be fitted to each wheel when we are fitting tyres. Standard rubber valves are incorporated within the price. Alternative valves such as metal, chrome-sleeved, hidden or small rubber can be installed at an additional charge and, depending on stock, we may have to order in especially, which can delay the process.
– APC reserve the right not to fit damaged or illegal tyres.

– Vehicles or wheels will not be released until payments are made in full.
– Payments must be made before we start work on wheels; delayed payment will push back the time-scale and start point, thereby we will have to fit the wheels in the queue as and where we can, thus delaying the completion time.
– APC charge a storage fee of £10 per day from day 8 if the wheels are not collected within 7 calendar days after we have completed the work and contacted the customer to advise of the completion.
– APC will endeavour to contact customers with respect of collecting the wheels; should however the wheels not be collected within 2 months after completion, then we reserve the right to sell the wheels in order to recover the costs incurred to us. The value of the wheels will only be what APC have added to them by repairing and refurbishing the wheels.
– APC accepts no responsibility for wheels transported to us and from us or collected by couriers engaged by the customer. The customer should ensure that the courier has sufficient insurance cover. APC will only use couriers that carry adequate insurance cover.
– The customer must ensure that adequate packaging/boxing is taken care of. Insufficient packaging may incur a fee if we have to supply our own packaging/boxing for the return journey.
– All customer vehicles must be fully covered by their own insurance whilst left with APC. All vehicles must be left with lock wheel nut keys for the removal and fitting of wheels to the car. APC accepts no responsibility for goods or articles left inside the vehicle.
– APC are not responsible for any vehicle computers or sensors on the vehicle, owners should refer to their own manual for this function.
– Whereby APC fits wheels to the customer’s car, we will ensure that the wheel bolts are properly torqued using the appropriate tools. Customers are however responsible for checking wheel bolts after an initial bedding-in period of 50 miles and at regular intervals thereafter as part of a standard maintenance routine.
– You will be responsible for the vehicle once you have collected it from the APC premises.
– There will be a fee of £20.00 plus per night for vehicles left in our charge at our premises overnight.
– APC shall not be responsible or liable for any loss or damage to goods or articles left in vehicles, or damage or mechanical fault of any vehicle (other than obvious damage which was not recorded when the vehicle was checked in) such as flat battery, clutch slipping etc. caused to your vehicle whilst in the care of APC except for damage caused by our negligence. APC will not accept liability for the cost of repairing or replacing parts of your vehicle and, in particular, APC will not accept liability for any technical or structural damage to the wheels where such damage occurs due to pre-existing faults and/or wear and tear unless APC has been negligent in not realising that such damage may occur or in the way the work was carried out.

– Structurally damaged wheels repaired by APC are not covered under our warranty, it is solely the customer’s responsibility to drive with repaired wheels.
– Powder coated wheels – All of our colour coated wheels will come with a 12-month warranty against defect, subject to the damage not having occurred as a result of driver damage or corrosive cleaners which will dull the lacquer over time. APC have the final say in determination of defects.
– If after 6 months the lacquer appears to have dulled and we cannot determine the root cause, then we will re-coat the wheel for 50% of the total cost, inclusive of tyre removal and balancing charges which may apply.
– APC requires that, if an unsatisfactory finish occurs, then we must be allowed to re-coat the wheel at our expense. If due to the wheel design, base metals or unforeseen problems we cannot subsequently redress the initial quality of the finish, then the customer must accept that this is the best that we can do, no refund shall be provided in part or whole.
– Two Piece wheels (Split rims) – A 12-month warranty is offered on the wheel bolts coming loose, however no warranty is offered on the bolts themselves unless new bolts have been supplied by APC.
– Split rim bolts that APC remove may break on removal for whatever reason; the customer will be notified and new bolt kits will be required for each bolt as we will have to drill and re-thread; currently the cost is £8 per standard bolt, special bolts may cost more.
– Polished Wheels – Wheel Parts – No Warranty is offered on any polished part as the duration of the finish is subject entirely on how well they are maintained and cleaned on a regular basis and not suitable for everyday use. Polished parts are only recommended for show purposes.
– Any complaints should be sent in writing (includes email) within 48 hours after you have collected your vehicle, to the Customer Services Department at the outlet where the work was carried out.

– Claims under the APC guarantee are settled by free rectification or (at APC’s discretion) a refund equal to the portion of the invoice price representing the unsatisfactory repair. Any refund or liability shall be limited to a maximum of the amount quoted upon the estimate or invoice or a proportion of the total quotation or invoice, e.g. if 4 wheels invoiced and 1 wheel is claimed.
– APC will not be liable for any consequential loss incurred as a result of a repair. It is incumbent on you to keep a receipt as proof of work carried out. Any warranty claim made without a receipt shall be at APC’s discretion. This APC guarantee does not affect your statutory rights.
– APC will not be liable if the customer gets a tyre fitted by another party and the rim is subsequently damaged; the customer will have to claim repair costs from the tyre fitter.
– These terms of supply of services will be subject to Scottish law and the Scottish courts will have jurisdiction in respect of any dispute arising from the agreement.
– APC shall not be liable for any failure to perform any of its obligations to you where the failure is due to circumstances beyond APC’s reasonable control, including, without limitation to, Act of God, war, civil disturbance, flood, lightning or fire, industrial action or lockouts, the act or omission of Government or any agent thereof, the act or omission of any person for whom APC is not responsible.
– APC reserves the right to revise and amend these terms from time to time. You will be subject to the terms in force at the time of the booking.
